As the presidential primary season continues across the country, the education policies of leading Republican candidates Donald Trump and Nikki Haley take center stage, offering different visions for the future of America’s education system.

The former president has proposed a program to grant parents greater control over local schools, including the authority to elect and dismiss school principals. While education hasn’t been a primary focus of his campaign, Trump has been vocal in his criticism of President Joe Biden’s efforts to cancel student loan debt, particularly praising the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down a portion of the Democrat’s plan.

The GOP frontrunner has also commended the court’s rulings targeting affirmative action programs in higher education, aligning with his stance against what he perceives as unfair treatment based on race or background.
